Some years later I started doing a b2b show with k means called Avant Garbage, on Threads and Netil, before landing on NARR with a solo show in 2021. happy days :~) *What are your other favourite shows to listen to?*i love radio so there's a lot, too many to list fully but here's an attempt... some amazing shows on NARR ofc - Desire Path, Floor Length Skirts, Organology, Table Jelly, Bitzer Maloney, Mike Smaczylo, and all the lovely ppl who run the station! Elsewhere, friends and others are doing killer shows of eclecticism, deepness, noise, texture and sound in all forms across the internet. Some favourites (and favourite names) are Tinned Heat, Instant Yum!, Bubbling Through, Oliver K, Hopping Around, The Secret Shade, The Mustard Hour, Accidental Meetings, Motion Sickness, The Slug Farm, A Long Strange Dream, Peking Spring, Nosedrip, Vocal Fry, Orpheu The Wizard, Paul Camo, Fatima's Maple Syrup Waffle Show, YL Hooi, The Slip, Poorly Knit, Do/While, Don't Overtake, Ice Exposure, all the Kindred family ofc. When i'm looking to relax i'll reach for Calm Roots, Dan Thorman's Early Doors, Rahill, Fifth World, Post Geography, Sacred Space. And of course the NTS Breakfast Show with Flo. *What is your favourite meal to cook at the moment?*Recently I've been cooking all sorts, making more of an effort to cook seasonally, so lots of veg/grains etc. But my absolute favourite thing to cook will always be slow cooked tomato sauce. I find the sauce process very therapeutic, its a great thing to put love into *Are you reading anything at the moment?*I've just started Art Sex Music by Cosey Fanni Tutti - her stories are amazing and she has a very inspiring perspective on life. Also re-reading David Toop's Ocean of Sound, a beautiful history of ambient sound and music from quite a unique angle. I'm sporadically reading London Feeds Itself, a compilation of essays about food and social architecture, put together by Jonathan Nunn, which comes complete with restaurant recommendations. Othwrise I guess i'm reading about all sorts of vaguely interesting shit on the internet. I haven't read a novel in about 10 years, someone send me a recommendation pls x *Do you have any exciting plans, things you are looking forward&nbsp;to in 2023?*Hopefully going to do some travelling around Europe, seeing and doing some music stuff whilst away. Definitely gonna check out the 3 Wheel Drive festival, and the Meakusma weekender. Music wise, I have some new tracks coming out on nice compilations in the next few months, keep your eyes on Twin System, MAL Recordings and Dreaming Vinyl. Hoping to release at least one more solo thing this year as well. I've also got a couple DJ sets in London coming up, otherwise looking forward to seeing friends continue to smash it!

She's picked 15 full albums for the NARR Buy Music Club, covering experimental, piano-laden ambient, bashment, finely tuned electronica &amp; glitchy emo-pop .... :~~)What do you do in your life apart from making Table Jelly on NARR? Stack shelves, sleep, cook, and frolick transsexually : ) When did you first start making radio? This show on NARR is actually the first I’ve hosted by myself. I was always too afraid of making mistakes in the past so leaned towards studio mixes, with the occasional (angsty) guest spot on others’ live shows (though I could never bring myself to listen back) I’m a little past giving a fuck about ‘mistakes’ when deejaying now; getting through coves, transitioning and getting sober all forced me (to try) to accept myself as a whole, including the parts that fuck up! What are your other favourite shows to listen to?&nbsp;To be honest, I am terrible at listening to mixes these days. I’m always pretty amazed that anyone listens to mine! I’m an album girl so usually I’m listening to ATL-style rap, Autechre, pop music, or anything that tries to combine the three What is your favourite meal to cook in winter? Any kinda stew rly – cooking is one of my only hobbies that doesn’t involve screentime so I indulge the hyperfocus and get kinda intricate with prep when I can Are you reading anything at the moment? I just rushed through all four editions of&nbsp;https://www.digitaltransgenderarchive.net/files/v405s9603 – a series of trans zines from Toronto in the ‘90s and maybe an analogue precursor to our beloved catgirl thirstposters? It both warms and breaks my heart to find so much in common with those girls’ experiences and our own today Through those zines, I’ve been scouring the&nbsp;https://www.digitaltransgenderarchive.net/ a lil for northern history. So far, I’ve come across a newspaper clipping from 1986 about a T4T husband and wife from Seacroft and a now-defunct annual transfem meetup in Scarborough in the early ‘90s Quick shout-out also to&nbsp;http://fuckingtranswomen.org/ – a wonderful zine from 2010, whose author, Mira Bellwether, sadly passed in December (RIP) Do you have any exciting plans, things you are looking forward to in 2023? I moved to South London at the end of last year, so I’m looking forward to settling in a bit more and finding more friends for transgendered capers. Also trying to work through the many many demos I’ve written over the last two years : )

Queenie has hosted her show Wetlands on NARR since we started the station in November 2020.&nbsp;Every month she brings&nbsp;texture and scuzz to the airwaves, mostly pre-recorded in London where she now lives. Queenie is a DJ, writer and reseacher, currently working as a&nbsp;producer &amp; researcher for Screenshot, a film show on BBC Radio 4. Thanks for putting this together for us, Queenie! &lt;3&nbsp;_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_What do you do in your life apart from making Wetlands on&nbsp;NARR? I live with two cats and one kitten at the moment so I spend a lot of time with them; they are very distracting as I work from home and it is hard to be on a laptop when your lap is occupied by a friendly kitten. I get to watch a silly amount of films and tv for work as well as pleasure and I've recently taken up knitting which is very frustrating and weirdly all consuming.&nbsp; When did you first start making radio? I started making radio 10 years ago give or take. I used to go to an after school club thing at the Roundhouse in London where they taught you the basics and I eventually got a show where I talked very awkwardly about the things teen girls are into and played a lot of music that I still play now. I stopped when I got to uni but then Sable Radio started and they very kindly let me do a talk show on films and theory, which I am still very thankful for!! It was called Deep End and hopefully I'll bring it back someday soon. And now I do wetlands every month or so, thank you for letting me play spooky swampy tracks!&nbsp; What are your other favourite shows to listen to?&nbsp; I enjoy Ben's Wrongplace on Alto Radio, he did an ambient mix 2 months ago that I really loved a lot. I am also a devoted Floor Length Skirts listener; also found on Alto Radio! I thoroughly enjoyed J.Pozniak's December 22 show on NARR, it was a scuzzy show of my dreams! Fifth World w/ Ian Kim Judd on NTS is also a favourite and I am always very excited for a new show!! What is your favourite meal to cook in winter?&nbsp; Chickpea, potato, courgette soup with lots of lemon (broth, not blended). Very satisfying to make a huge pot of broth and it is extremely tasty. Are you reading anything at the moment?&nbsp; Last thing I attempted to finish was The Stranger by Albert Camus but I've given up. I am now waiting to borrow a copy of The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis which I am very excited to try and read. Do you have any exciting plans, things you are looking forward&nbsp;to in 2023?
