Jakarta-born DJ and producer Gembira Putra Agam, known by his stage name Fyahman, established his moniker around 2008-2009. He quickly established himself within Jakarta's music scene by joining 24/7, the first collective dedicated to dubstep and grime music in the city, in 2011.

Fyahman's collaborative spirit continued in 2013 when he became part of Dead Records (Dead Rec), which later merged with Pepaya Records to form leftfield label Dead Pepaya.
