Music To Bake Cakes To by HONEY POINT
Deepa: First half of the playlist are some organic and upbeat albums I've been listening to quite a bit recently. My partner and his housemate are obsessed with 2000black and we had a rowdy get-together (of 20 people) where one of them played Kaidi's 'Get Up Lift Up Yourself' and I've been playing it ever since. The Anatolian Weapons album has such a good set of groovy, moody, slo-mo bangers as well as all it's proceeds being donated to Humanity Crew (an international aid organisation that provides psychological aid to refugees). Good music, good cause. The music in between are all just a little bit fun, hey.
Dani: The second half of this playlist is designed for active at home listening, not just because of Covid, but because this music provides a sense of warmth and company especially when you’re feeling a bit low. Each release is filled music made from complex layers and sounds, that altogether sit a bit left of centre. These releases also could fit creatively into a mix; they just inspire a lot of passion in me.
