Bandcamp is waiving its fees today and we decided once again to forward all proceeds to the German organization Schools without Racism - Schools with Courage. Education may be the best way to fight racial prejudice from an early age so support the cause and buy music from our international label artists. Goodhood dj Jenny Sharp picked her five favourite Defrostatica tracks for your inspiration:

1. Goodkat - Renaissance.  With my all-time number one favourite defrostatica release „Renaissance“ on „Future Sound of Leipzig“ my man Goodkat represents my hometown by bringing the heat on the dancefloor - been spinning this one in innumerous DJ sets.

2. HomeSick - Running On Empty feat. So Loki Since I'm first and foremost a hip-hop head digging into bass music this record got me instantly with the banging So Loki rap feature.

3. Champion Sound - Ghetto Youth feat. Hawkeye.  What I like so much about „Ghetto Youth“ is that jungle drive that's accompanied by this hard-hitting ruff and raw bass line.

4. BSN Posse - Burnin Shoes feat. Jon1st. This one is a straight 160 bpm footwork firework literally burning shoes and reminding me of my first live footwork set in 2017 when I was opening the Defrostatica meets Iberian Juke night for the legendary BSN Posse from Malaga, Spain at Distillery - still massively appreciate this opportunity.

5. Detroit's Filthiest - Funky Sperm.  Not just loving the fantastic artwork by Leipzig collective Doppeldenk but fell in love with this chune because of its dreamy vibe and perfect blend of breaks and Drum and Bass that brings me back to my b-girling roots and my early, teenager DnB nightlife experiences in the '00s.
