Unfortunately, this is was my final Balamii transmission...
In a change of direction at the station they have decided to no longer broadcast the show.

I will be continuing to do the show on my own for the forseeable, or even try and get on another station - who knows... With less of a commitment to the station/deadline I hope I don't get slack...

Attempting to do something a little different with this months installment and pushing towards getting more performance based artists involved - I invited on a selection of experimental electronic artists from varying community corners to contribute short 15-minute sets.

Expect live modular, recorded performance takes, Ableton Live stem production mixes and the like!

'My main setup now is Ableton in which I loop about 20 minutes for about and hour and a half every Wednesday [18:30 Dutch time]. I have multiple melodic layers with a few parameters being controlled by LFOs so the sounds constantly change. I place pre-made melodies, bass lines and harmonies where I think they should go and change move them around while streaming, sometimes one layer plays a harmony, other times multiple layers play more intense melodies at the same time. Each synth can play any sort of melody, except one that can't play bass lines. On top of that I do beats live or have something simple prepared with percussive samples. And every other week I include part of a story I'm writing, which people are generally excited for. Coming wednesday I do the fifth part with Molly's [lowkeydoom] narrating the story part.' - 3849

Greystar is 20 years old and is based out of Portland, Oregon. They run the Braindance.news website which blogs updates about the experimental music scene - particularly focused towards the braindance culture. The site has also hosted BRAINRAVE, a virtual festival showcasing experimental electronic artists from in and around The Braindance Commune Discord server. I did a post-festival show back in August 2022 where I played tracks from artists featured at the second event, suitably titled: BRAINRAVE2.
